Criminal Defense Attorney - William S. IrelandAttorney Will Ireland is a skilled practitioner. The primary focus of his practice is adult felony criminal defense, OVI and traffic offenses. He is a talented and an experienced trial lawyer. Will successfully completed over forty (40) Jury and Bench trials in Ohio’s State and Federal Courts from major to minor crimes: Aggravated Murder, Engaging in Ongoing Corrupt Criminal Activity, Murder, Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, Felonious Assault, Drug Trafficking, Aggravated Burglary and Robbery to Domestic Violence and Probation Violations, etc. Will works closely with his Clients and he prefers his Clients to be involved in their Defense. Based on his experience he is an effective, successful trial lawyer and he is highly capable in resolving cases through beneficial plea bargains, diversions, dismissals and other alternative dispute resolutions. Will served as an Army Aviator, he is a school trained Aero Scout, qualified in Iroquois, Kiowas and Blackhawks. Will flew numerous reconnaissance missions in the most hostile environments and he is a U.S. Army Paratrooper and an Air Assault trained Soldier. While in the Army Will worked his way-up from his Military Occupational Specialty as a Heavy Wheeled Mechanic to the Secretary of General Staff and a Division level Operations Officer. He served in in the continental United States, Central America, Balkans, Southwest and Southeast Asia to include numerous operations and combat assignments, most notably with the 2nd Infantry Division in the Southern Republic of Korea and the Combatant Command- Central Command in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom- Afghanistan. In addition to his trial experience Will has argued several cases in Ohio’s District Courts of Appeal. In 2010-11 Will served as President of the Central Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (COACDL), he is President Elect for 2021-22 and he previously served on the Board of Directors.
